Santa Rosa taking applications for highly successful Blended Learning Program

The “academic focus” of Santa Rosa Elementary is to be a Critical Thinking and Technology Academy. As part of that focus for 2015-2016, Santa Rosa will expand its highly successful Blended Learning Program to include three grades - fourth, fifth, and sixth. The Blended Learning Program will continue to combine traditional teaching with the use of laptop computers.  Students use laptops on a daily basis to learn the curriculum using Google Apps for Education and other programs. In addition, project based learning is incorporated.

If your student is interested in participating in a Blended Learning classroom next school year, please complete the form available on the Santa Rosa website and return it to the Santa Rosa office or to Principal Eva Safranek at esafranek@musd20.org by March 27, 2015.

Completion of the form will enter a student’s name into the interest group for this program. Students living in the Santa Rosa attendance area will be given priority for enrollment. Students living outside the Santa Rosa attendance area will be placed in a lottery for the remaining slots. Lottery results will be announced on 3/30.

If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact Mrs. Safranek at esafranek@musd20.org or at 520-568-6150.
