Creative Ram Makerspace Summer Camps Announced

The Creative Ram Makerspace in the Maricopa High School Library is holding two, free summer camps in June for incoming 9th graders through 12th graders. 

 The Robotics Camp for incoming 9th graders through 12th graders is June 9-11 from 8:30 A.M.-12:30 P.M. at the Creative Ram Makerspace in the Maricopa High School Library.  We have guest instructors from successful robotics programs. Campers will learn to build and program VEX robots using RobotC programming language.  The robotics kit will be provided by Maricopa High School’s Engineering Program. No prior knowledge or skills are required to attend the camp.

 The Make It Camp for incoming 9th graders through 12th graders is June 16-18, 2015 from 8:30 A.M.-12:30 P.M.  Incoming 8th graders may attend if space is available. Campers will make projects such as infinity mirrors, plush game controllers, and remote sensors will learning basic electronics and to solder.  No prior electronic knowledge or skills are required to attend the camp.

Both projects are supported by the Arizona State Library, Archives & Public Records, a division of the Secretary of State, with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.  Other grant partners include: Maricopa Ak-Chin STEAM Foundation, Maricopa Center for Entrepreneurship and Maricopa Public Library.
