Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Elizabeth Allison
I was born and raised in Lapeer, Michigan. After high school, I continued my education at the University of Michigan, Flint campus, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education majoring in Language Arts and minoring in Social Studies. Shortly after graduation, I accepted my first teaching position at a private preschool while I continued to search for an Elementary teaching position. It was during this time that I made the decision to move to the great state of Arizona, accepting a Kindergarten teaching position and moving my family across the country.
Through my career I have had the opportunity to teach Preschool, Kindergarten, Second and Third grades. While I thoroughly enjoyed being in the classroom I decided to expand my experiences and go back to school to earn my Masters Degree in Administration through Grand Canyon University. Since then I have also served as an Assistant Principal within a K- 8 district.
Nine years later, I am excited to be starting a new adventure here in Maricopa! As a TOSA ( Teacher on Special Assignment) I believe in the importance of building and nurturing strong relationships with all stakeholder; staff, students, parents and the community. Its through these relationships that allow us to have the most influence in the lives of our students both academically as well as socially. I look forward to having the opportunity to continue to develop and strengthen these relationship as we continue to move throughout the year.
