Ms. Legendre grew up on the West Coast and resided in California most of her childhood. She volunteered for the ARMY, after grade school, serving overseas in Germany and state side. Moving to Arizona 19 years ago she now has been teaching Art at DWMS for 5 years.
Legendre has worked in Interior Design and Graphics after ASU, before deciding to teach. She studied Fine ART as a minor during her time in college and creates in her personal life either murals or painting on canvases. Her most out of the box learning experience in applying her Design skills was the Interior Designing of a Yacht overseas.
One of Ms. Legendre's hobbies is running with her dogs. She has had the opportunity to run in many different states in the U.S., along with her time in Germany. Legendre donates her time to Coaching Cross Country for DWMS and every year looks forward to introducing students to a life style of healthy exercise with the sport.
Teaching Art to Middle School Students has been an experience that has been both challenging and rewarding for Legendre. Her driving energy behind teaching students is to build students strength in the "know-how" to be self-reliant in creating, no matter the career path they take in life.
