Mrs. Bernadette Russoniello

Bernadette Russoniello (or Ms. Russ) is a career educator dedicated to developing young leaders and scholars. She has spent her life developing programs and opportunities to help students do more, dream more, and become more. Bernadette has taught at Maricopa High School since August 2001, serving in a variety of roles and teaching positions. Bernadette was awarded Maricopa Chamber of Commerce Teacher of the year 2016, DECA Advisor of the Year 2017, ACTE Az CTE Teacher of the Year 2017, ACTE Region V Teacher of the Year 2018, and was an ACTE national finalist for Teacher of the Year 2019. She has served on the boards of the Arizona Marketing Educators association, Arizona DECA, Association of Career Technical Educators - AZ, and the Arizona College Consortium. Bernadette has developed her niche in education by focusing on community-involved learning and loves to share her experiences and ideas with others.

Ms. Russ is the proud mother of four MHS Rams and wife of fellow MUSD teacher Michael Russoniello. When not at school, you can find the Russoniellos travelling, camping, hiking and kayaking.
