Vanessa Stone

Mx. Vanessa Stone is a returning addition to the counseling department at Maricopa High School. Mx. Stone received a Master's of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Prescott College with a focus on Ecopsychology and Wilderness Therapy, and Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Weber State University. Mx. Stone has a profound love and passion for people and connection with the natural world. Their prior work as included leading activity based, adventure work and Ecotherapy interventions with youth and adults in a variety of group settings. Mx. Stone is excited to offer opportunities to emphasize diversity as a strength and seeks to help students appreciate differences among each other. Outside of work, Mx. Stone loves to spend time exploring with their dog, Xavier, rollerblading and swimming.
