I, Steve Ybarra am an assistant principal at Maricopa High School. I taught for 14 years in the Chandler Unified School and ran the alternative school for one year. I was a principal for 18 years in Superior Unified, Phoenix Union and the Sunnyside Unified School Districts. I then became an administrative coach in Tucson for one year and this last year was the Student Achievement Teacher at Globe High School. I am very happy to be here in Ram Country and hope to work with teachers to improve test scores of students and be a resource to everyone in the school as well as the community. This is a very welcoming and supportive community and I am very happy to be here.
