Dear Bobcat Families, 

Welcome to the home of the Bobcats, Butterfield Elementary School. I am proud to be the principal of this amazing school. We take pride in preparing students for middle school, high school and beyond. We are a community dedicated to inspiring life-long learners with positive character traits.

Throughout the school year, we provide our students with many opportunities to be successful citizens through cooperative learning structures, project-based learning, and STEM activities. Our curriculum aligns to the Arizona state standards and across the content areas of Reading, Writing, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Students participate daily in one of the following: P.E., Music and Art. Library activities align to Science standards and students and staff have a technology integration specialist to support their instruction. After-school opportunities for students include free tutoring and transportation to Copa Kids and the Boys and Girls Club. Students may also participate in the Drama Club, Running Club, National Elementary Honor Society, and Student Council.

There are many ways for families to get involved here at Butterfield. We have an active Parent Teacher Organization that plans exciting fundraising events for community building.  Families may sign up to volunteer in the office, make copies for teachers, be a guest reader or speaker, chaperone field trips or volunteer time helping at an event. Of course, there are many other ways and we welcome all ideas!

I look forward to the RAINBOW of possibilities this school year has to offer and I know this will be the best school year ever! Butterfield Bobcats are the BEST!
