Child Nutrition

Feeding Bodies & Fueling Minds

The Maricopa Unified School District has introduced LINQConnect, a new parent payment and online application portal, to enhance the Child Nutrition Department's services. Starting from July 10th, 2023, parents will be able to access the portal and take advantage of its features.

LINQConnect aims to streamline transactions and application processing, providing a faster and more convenient experience for parents. One exciting feature is that students can now use their school meal account to purchase items from snack carts at high schools and middle schools. Parents will have control over spending limits, automated deposits, and can even request refunds directly through the portal.

To ensure that all students receive the benefits they are eligible for, it is important for parents to submit a new FREE/REDUCED meal application each school year. With LINQConnect, submitting these applications has become the quickest and simplest process. Previous year eligibilities have been imported, so students who qualified in the 2022/2023 school year will have a grace period until August 31st, 2023, to submit a new application.

These technological upgrades will undoubtedly enhance the efficiency and convenience of the Child Nutrition Department's services, benefiting both parents and students in the Maricopa Unified School District. Click or scan the links below to open an account and complete meal applications.

The MUSD Child Food & Nutrition Department offers students well-balanced, inexpensive breakfasts and lunches. Over the past few years, The Food and Nutrition Department has been modifying its menus and programs to provide healthier choices for our students. We have switched to low-fat dairy products, served more poultry, used more whole-grain baked goods, and offer a greater variety of fresh and unsweetened fruits and vegetables than ever before. We do not serve fried foods. You can be confident when your child dines with us knowing our meals meet the high nutrition standards of the Healthy Hungry Free Kids Act. All students are encouraged to eat school meals to gain the nourishment they need for high performance in the classroom and beyond.
