Outside Providers on Campus
Dear MUSD Families and Community Members,
Effective July 23, 2025, outside providers, such as will no longer be permitted on MUSD campuses to deliver services, except in cases where the provider is conducting a District-approved evaluation as part of an Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) or a Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA).
This decision is supported by the following:
- Policy 3.201-Facilities and Procedure 3.201.B Facilities - Advertising and Outside Business Operations: These state that only District employees and District-paid contractors may provide services to students on District property during the school day. No unauthorized outside vendors or service providers may operate on campus.
- Policy 3-203-Visitors and Procedure 3-203.A Visitors - Prohibition Regarding Disruption These policies grant the Superintendent authority to control campus access and outline restrictions for visitors in order to prevent disruptions to the educational environment.
These procedures are in place to maintain consistency, ensure the safety of our students and staff, and protect the integrity of the instructional day. While we understand that some families utilize outside providers, services that are not coordinated and funded by the District through an IEE or FBA will need to be provided off-campus.
We remain committed to supporting all students and families and will continue to facilitate appropriate evaluations and services as required by law and policy. If you have any questions or would like further clarification, please contact your school administrator.
