Welcome to Maricopa Unified School District's Child Food and Nutrition Department.

The MUSD Child Food & Nutrition Department offers students well-balanced, inexpensive breakfasts and lunches. Over the past few years, The Food and Nutrition Department has been modifying its menus and programs to provide healthier choices for our students. We have switched to low-fat dairy products, served more poultry, used more whole-grain baked goods, and offer a greater variety of fresh and unsweetened fruits and vegetables than ever before. We do not serve fried foods. You can be confident when your child dines with us knowing our meals meet the high nutrition standards of the Healthy Hungry Free Kids Act. All students are encouraged to eat school meals to gain the nourishment they need for high performance in the classroom and beyond.

    • Breakfast is served free of charge to all students K-12 every school day.
    • Lunch cost for K-12 is $3.50 per day.

Students who participated in the Free and Reduced-Price Meal Program last year are eligible to receive the same benefits for the first 30 days of the new school year. All households must reapply prior to determining eligibility for the new school year. Paper applications are provided by each school, and the district office.

Applications are available for Free and Reduced Price meals online.  The process only takes a few short steps and it is quick, easy and FREE. The online application is available in English or Spanish and can be accessed through a computer or mobile device.
You can pay for your child’s meals online myschoolbucks.com. You can also check their meal usage and sign up for an email reminder.
